STATEMENT summary
サバコの作品は、一種の生命体を描くような有機的な形態を持ち、コミックや子供のおもちゃの半シュールレアリスティックな言語を適用しています。社会の変化、身の回りで起きた事象に無意識下に少なからず反応し、バタフライ効果のように直感的に形を変化させます。
まず簡単な形を描き、初めの段階を終えます。そして次の段階へと形を整理していきます。
サバコの独特な特徴は、本作品にも見てとれる活発な表現と明快さです。
Savako's work has organic forms that represent a kind of life form, using the semi-surreal language of comics and children's toys. The forms change instinctively, like the butterfly effect, reacting in no small part unconsciously to social changes and events around them.
The first step is to draw a simple shape. Then the shapes are organised for the next stage.
Savako's unique character is the vivid expression and clarity that can be seen in this work.

「ギョレメの神託」は目に見える世界を超えた、魂を体現する芸術の幻想的な素晴らしいパワーをチャージした作品であり、漫画や子供のおもちゃの半現実主義的な言語を応用している。古代からの原始的なエネルギーが、アーティストのイマジネーションに火をつけ、馬、テーブル、3つの頭を持つ司祭、そして饗宴の鮮やかな色彩で飾られた驚くべき獣を創り出した。
'Oracle Of Goreme' is a work charged with the fantastic power of art to embody spirits from beyond the visible world; applying a semi-surrealist language of comic books and children’s toys. Primitive energy from ancient times have sparked the artist's imagination to create a marvellous beast: part horse, part table, part three-headed priest, and decorated in the vibrant colours of a feast.

Melbourne Project
私たちは、サバコの活気に満ちたユニークな仮設アート作品「ドリーム・オブ・キプロス」を、メルボルンのペニンシュラ・リンク・フリーウェイのランドマークとなる彫刻として開発することを提案している。
ドリーム・オブ・キプロスは、精神を高揚させ、五感を刺激し、楽しみを求めるオーストラリア人の性格を称えるようにデザインされたアート作品である。高さ10メートルのこの作品は、高速道路沿いの目を引く歓迎のランドマークとなり、その後、その陽気な色彩と遊び心のある形が、人々をマクレランドのパーマネント・コレクションに引き寄せることだろう。
ドリーム・オブ・キプロスの別世界のような彫刻的フォルムは、オーストラリアの動植物を反映した鮮やかで飽和した色彩によって強調されている。精神と楽観主義をテーマにしたこの作品は、オーストラリアのエネルギーに呼応し、幅広い多文化の観客に語りかける。
彫刻のデザインは、オーストラリアのパブリックアート・キュレーターおよびクリエイティブ・ロードのプロジェクト・マネージャーと共同で行われ、ティルト・インダストリアルデザインが屋外に適した高品質の堅牢な素材を使用して製作する。
幅広い普遍的な魅力を持つサヴァコの気まぐれな彫刻作品『ドリーム・オブ・キプロス』は、人々に自分自身の中にある明るい精神を見るよう促すだろう。
We are proposing that Savako’s vibrant and unique temporary artwork, Dream of Cyprus is developed as a landmark sculpture for Melbourne’s Peninsula Link Freeway site.
Dream of Cyprus is an artwork designed to uplift the spirit, engage the senses and celebrate the fun-seeking character of Australian people. At 10 metres tall the artwork will be an eye catching, welcoming landmark at the highway location and afterwards, with its joyful colours and playful shapes, will draw people to McClelland’s permanent collection.
Dream of Cyprus’ other-worldly sculptural form is accentuated by vibrant and saturated hues reflective of Australian flora and fauna. Drawing on themes of spirit and optimism the artwork responds to the energy of Australia and speaks to a broad multi-cultural audience.
The sculpture design will be delivered in collaboration with Australian public art curators and project managers at Creative Road and built by Tilt Industrial Design, using high quality robust materials suitable for the outdoor location.
With wide universal appeal, Savako’s whimsical sculptural work Dream of Cyprus will inspire people to see the bright spirit within themselves.
Brisbane Project
ザ・ランディングにある私の活気に満ちたユニークなアートワークは、主要な歩行者天国やレクリエーション・ゾーンのデスティネーションとしての魅力を高めるだろう。人目を引く大胆なランドマークとして、この作品は人々を川辺に引き寄せるだろう。
作品のスケールは印象的で、その場所に特化し、景観の中に巧みに統合される。この作品は、精神を高揚させ、五感を刺激し、クイーンズランド州ののんびりとした楽しみを求める性格を称えるだろう。
別世界のような彫刻のフォルムは、ブリスベンの亜熱帯植物を反映した鮮やかで彩度の高い色彩によって強調される。精神と楽観主義をテーマにした私の作品は、この場所のエネルギーに応え、ブリスベンの幅広い多文化的な観客とつながるだろう。
私のコンセプト開発プロセスには、ブリスベンの環境と人々の観察が含まれます。雲、流れる川の形、青々とした木々、生き物の表情。この探求から、私が創り出すフォルムは、ブリスベンの個性を体現し、この美しい街の人々に、彼らと同じように生き生きとして魅力的なマスコットを与える。
広く普遍的な魅力を持つ私の作品は、その陽気な色彩と遊び心のある形によって、人々をランディングに引き寄せるだろう。大人は子供の頃の気持ちを思い出すだろう。しかめっ面をした通行人は微笑むだろう。子供たちは発見と想像力をかき立てられ、この彫刻を心の中に持ち帰るだろう。
私の意図は、この作品が、人々が自分自身の中にある明るい精神に気づくきっかけになることである。
Found on The Landing my vibrant and unique artwork will enhance the destination appeal of the key pedestrian and recreational zones. Acting as an eye catching, bold landmark the artwork will draw people to the river’s edge.
The scale of the work will be impressive, it will be site specific and cleverly integrated within the landscape. The work will uplift the spirit, engage the senses and celebrate the laid-back fun-seeking character of Queensland.
The other-worldly sculptural forms will be accentuated by vibrant and saturated hues reflective of Brisbane’s subtropical flora. Drawing on themes of spirit and optimism my artwork will respond to the energy of this place and connect with Brisbane’s broad multi-cultural audience.
My concept development process will include observing Brisbane’s environment and people. The clouds, the shape of the flowing river, the lushness of trees, the expressions of living creatures. From this exploration, the form I will create will embody the character of Brisbane, giving the people of this beautiful city a mascot that is as lively, and charming as they are.
With wide universal appeal, my work will draw people to The Landing with its joyful colours and playful shapes. Adults will be reminded of how they felt when they were children. Passers-by with a frown on their face will smile. Children’s sense of discovery and imagination will be sparked, and will take the sculpture home with them in their minds.
My intention is for the artwork to inspire people to see the bright spirit within themselves.
